Teeth Whitening Options

Hygienist Appointment

If you are already happy with your teeth sometimes a simple trip to the hygienist is enough to keep them bright! We always recommend a hygienist clean using Aquacare.

Home Whitening

Offering the best results, we are able to provide individual tray and whitening peroxide gels that we are confident will give great results in as little as two weeks.

Dental Veneers

Veneers not only offer a brighter, whiter smile, but can also resolve other issues and insecurities you may have like crooked teeth, chipped teeth, or bite issues.

Composite Bonding

Similar to Veneers, Composite Bonding is an option for those looking to correct the shade of their teeth, but also the shape, size and bite at the same time.

Teeth whitening with a Hygienist

Teeth whitening with Home Whitening kits

When you want to brighten and whiten your teeth by a couple of shades, we provide custom made trays which slot into your mouth (like a mouthguard). These trays have gel in the bottom that sit against your teeth and whiten them.

These trays can then be used in future for you to top up your whitening. The trays are a very important part of this process and the quality of the fitting can affect the result hugely! Depending on the outcome of your colour consultation we typically find patients see results within 2 weeks and then use the remaining gel on an ad hoc basis to maintain the colour.

What is the difference between a dentist home whitening kit and one I can buy online?

If we thought there was a ‘good’ online kit – we would happily recommend it! So far the ones we have tried have three key risks:

Poor fitting trays

Many of the trays are ‘standard fit’ or ask you to create your own mould. When a mould isn’t perfectly fitted to your mouth, you risk the whitening gel not sitting directly on the tooth which results in non-optimal whitening. Poor fitting trays can also result in the gel leaking into the mouth, which although is rarely harmful is not a particularly nice experience.

Wrong strength gels

Many whitening gels purchased online/shop are either too weak or too strong. Gels that are too weak won’t be effective in whitening the teeth, and gels that are too strong can weaken the teeth’s enamel, causing pain and sensitivity, and in worst cases, infection.

No assessment of tooth health

Home whitening really should only be done on already healthy teeth. Without an initial check up from a dental practitioner, you can’t be sure you aren’t taking unnecessary risks with your teeth.

Teeth whitening with Composite Bonding

Composite bonding at Bespoke Smile involves the skillful application of a tooth-colored resin material directly onto the tooth’s surface. This procedure is ideal for repairing minor imperfections such as chips, gaps, or to whiten the teeth. Here’s what sets composite bonding apart:

Teeth whitening with Veneers

If you’re looking for a more transformative change as well as teeth whitening, veneers from Bespoke Smile are completely handmade, designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. This option is suitable for addressing more significant cosmetic concerns, as well as brightening and whitening your smile.

The benefits of teeth whitening

Teeth whitening can offer several benefits, both cosmetic and also improvements to confidence and self esteem! It’s important to note that while teeth whitening can be effective, it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. The results can vary based on factors like the type of staining, the method of whitening used, and individual oral health.

Some of the benefits our patients find when they choose Bespoke Smile for teeth whitening are:

01.

Improved aesthetics

The most obvious benefit is a brighter, whiter smile! Whiter teeth can enhance your overall appearance and boost your confidence.
02.

Increased self-esteem

A brighter smile often leads to increased self-confidence and improved self-esteem. Feeling good about your smile can positively impact how you feel during your day.
03.

Youthful appearance

Whiter teeth are often associated with youthfulness. Teeth naturally darken with age, so whitening can give the impression of a more youthful smile!
04.

Mood enhancement

There’s a psychological connection between feeling good about your appearance and overall mood! A whiter smile may contribute to a more positive outlook.
05.

Motivation for oral hygiene

People who invest in teeth whitening often become more motivated to maintain good oral hygiene habits to preserve the results.
