The Consultation
We will conduct a detailed health assessment of every tooth, which also includes a gum assessment and analysis of your bite. We will explore how different styles suit your facial features to get your desired end result.
We will check for any speech, bite or chewing issues which we can remedy with cosmetic dentistry so that your treatment is effective and long lasting.
We then complete your Cosmetic Smile Analysis, which can include x-rays and digital scans to get a full picture of your complete oral situation.
This consultation is a crucial first step in the process, involving a detailed discussion between you and your dentist, to ensure your wishes will be met and so we can go forward with a bespoke plan for your new smile.
Step 2 – Hand Crafted Trial Smile Visit
A Smile That Compliments You
The Hand-Made Trial Smile is a unique process you won’t find with any other dentist, giving you the opportunity to live with your temporary veneers for a week or two, and then feedback your thoughts so we can tailor the results to your exact wishes.
We will assess the shapes, symmetry, angles, feel, bite, and texture of the Trial Smile and decide any bespoke features that you would like to incorporate. Dr Jethwa will assess your facial features, and create a design that compliments your face with our bespoke Smile Design technology.
Why Is The Trial Smile So Important?
We place thousands of veneers each year, with over 30% of our patients coming to us with existing veneers from other dentists that they wish to improve.
We often find these veneers have been designed solely by the dental technician instead of the dentist who had the consultation with the patient. This leads to veneers that aren’t bespoke to the structure of your face, bite, and specific wishes. The end results can then leave much to be desired, as you haven’t
been involved or consulted in the design of your veneers.
The Trial Smile allows you to live with the veneers you have helped sculpt, and then make any changes or adjustments on your return to us.
The Trial Smile
During your Trial Smile visit, we will hand-craft each and every veneer in a temporary resin material.
Once we have sculpted and fitted each tooth, your bespoke Trial Smile will begin. You’ll leave our dentistry with an appointment to return in a week or two, allowing you time to adapt to your new smile. During this period, you’ll think about how you may wish to tweak it, and get thoughts from friends and family. We’ll test your bite and ensure your veneers last for the desired period of time.
During this visit, you may receive a laser gum lift or gum shaping using our pain-free technology to create an even gum shape for your new smile.
All of our dentists are internationally trained and highly experienced in this bespoke technique. Our lead technician, Dr Sam Jethwa, is so highly-regarded in this technique that he teaches it to other dentists at our Bespoke Smile Academy and is invited to lecture internationally on the topic.

Step 3 – Bespoke Choices And Colour Visit
Your Chance To Perfect Your Smile
Having lived with your new smile for a period of time, this return visit allows us to review your hand-crafted veneer design. You’ll be given the opportunity to further amend and tailor your smile to exactly what you are looking for.
We will repeat the process of assessing the shapes, symmetry, angles, feel,
bite, and texture from your Trial Smile and make a final decision on the
bespoke features that you would like to include in your permanent veneers,
as well as the colour.
Step 4 – Fitting Visit
The trial smile is removed with ease within a couple of minutes, usually without any need for anaesthetic, as the teeth are not usually sensitive at all. The final veneers are permanently fitted to the teeth, followed by a comprehensive bite balancing to ensure the mouth is healthy and stable.
Final Fitting
The Trial Smile is removed painlessly, and the final veneers are
permanently fitted to your teeth.
We will undertake a comprehensive bite-balancing assessment
to ensure your mouth is healthy and stable.
Most of our patients are looking for long-term results, so we will make sure you leave our practice with a perfect smile, a healthy mouth and bite, and all the information you need to maintain your new veneers. This will ensure that
any potential issues and future dental visits are kept to a minimum.
Our expert ceramists have custom-designed a unique blend of stunning
porcelain veneers, making Bespoke Smile veneers consistent for 10–20 years (when maintained with regular hygienist visits and annual dental check-ups).
You have the option to plan maintenance visits with us, or may choose to
return to your existing dentist and hygienist if you have travelled far.
