How Long Does It Take to Get Veneers?

27/02/2026

In an age of same-day deliveries and overnight transformations, it’s unsurprising that one of the most common questions we hear is: How long do veneers take?

At Bespoke Smile, our veneers typically take around three weeks from start to finish. This timeframe reflects the level of planning, design, and craftsmanship required to create veneers that look natural, function properly, and last for many years.

How long do veneers take to make?

We tell our patients to allow around three weeks for their veneers to be made. This is not a marketing line or an arbitrary timeframe but a reflection of the reality of true craftsmanship.

Each veneer is hand-layered in porcelain by our master ceramist, not mass-produced. On average, it takes around four hours to create just one veneer, and that time is spent building depth, translucency, texture, and character layer by layer. There are multiple firing stages, refinements, and checks along the way.

These are restorations designed to last 15–20 years. Rushing the process would compromise durability, aesthetics, or fit.

Bespoke Smile’s Trial Smile

Before anything is committed to porcelain, our dentists hand-design your veneers directly in a temporary resin material, creating a smile you can wear, live with, and truly experience. This is not a quick mock-up for photographs; it is a working prototype.

You’ll be able to speak, smile, and see yourself as others see you while we assess aesthetics, comfort, and bite. This stage gives both patient and dentist confidence that the design is right before it is finalised into porcelain.

It’s worth knowing that while the trial smile is discreet and undetectable to most people, it is not the finished article. Temporary resin does not have the same translucency, surface texture, or resistance to staining as porcelain.

Why we don’t offer same-day or 48-hour veneers

Some clinics advertise veneers in a day, or within 48 hours. This usually means stages have been removed, delegated, or industrialised.

We choose not to work that way.

Designing veneers remotely, skipping trial phases, or relying solely on digital workflows may be faster, but it removes control over the subtleties that matter: bite, proportion, facial harmony, and long-term function. Speed demands compromise, and compromise has a habit of revealing itself years later.

If you are looking for veneers made quickly, then we are probably not the right clinic for you.

Can the veneer process be shortened?

In exceptional or time-sensitive circumstances, it may be possible to reduce the timeline slightly, occasionally from three weeks to around two and a half. This is never guaranteed and depends entirely on the availability and judgment of our master ceramist.

Ultimately, we are at the mercy of the hands creating your veneers and that is exactly how we want it.

Your Bespoke Smile veneers

Veneers are not accessories. They become part of you — shaping how you speak, smile, and present yourself every day. When something is meant to last decades, a few weeks is not a delay; it’s an investment.

At Bespoke Smile, time is not something to fight against. It is part of the process. Part of the beauty. And part of what ensures your veneers feel just as right years from now as they do the first time you see them.
