Panayiotis, our Specialist Periodontist (better known as Pano), graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’s Dental Institute in 2012. Having completed vocational training in West Sussex, Pano worked as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Department at the Royal London Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital assisting in complex head and neck surgery.
Having experience in general private practice in the UK and abroad in Singapore, Pano developed a keen interest in Periodontics and returned to London in 2016 to commence his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology at the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Following this three year postgraduate specialist training programme he was awarded his Membership in Periodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and is on the specialist register in the UK.
He divides his clinical time between private practice, clinical research and teaching on educational courses for dentists, hygiene therapists and specialists as part of the Edudent Academy.
Over the years my teeth had become very worn away, chipped and discoloured and I was afraid to smile! Pano carried out a gum graft to reverse my receding gums and then Gurs gave me a brand new implant at the front. Sam then came in and worked his magic and gave me a whole new smile! The whole process was smooth and pain-free and I am delighted with the results. The journey was a very personal one and the care and warmth the team showed me made it a pleasure. I have recently had 2 procedures with Dr Pano and couldn’t recommend him enough. As a child, I had braces and was told that I would also need some corrective gum surgery when I was older. After 15 years I finally plucked up the courage to do it and don’t regret it at all. I still have some appointments remaining with Bespoke Smile but I’m really happy with my results so far! Today I had Pano and Sophie for extensive gum treatment. Pano is extremely good at his job and I waited 3 months just to see him, which was worth every penny, he is a great ambassador for the company.
